THE RIGHT TO TRAVEL MOVEMENT JUST LANDED IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST — OREGON IS NOW IN THE FIGHT!
TODAY — Operation Wisedome officially transmitted the Oregon Right to Travel Act to 10 of Oregon's most conservative and constitutionally-grounded legislators, formally demanding sponsorship in the 2026 Regular Session of the Eighty-Third Legislative Assembly.
This is not a petition. This is not a form letter. This is a fully developed, constitutionally grounded, professionally drafted legislative bill — adapted with EXACTING PRECISION from the actual New Hampshire HB 507 that was introduced in the New Hampshire Legislature in 2019 — fitted and revised for Oregon in full, with precise Oregon Revised Statutes citations, an official fiscal note, and a comprehensive case law validation document.

WHAT THE BILL DOES:
The Oregon Right to Travel Act draws the constitutionally mandated distinction between the fundamental RIGHT to travel — which no government may license, tax, or regulate — and the commercial PRIVILEGE of driving for hire, compensation, or profit — which the State may regulate. The bill:
Creates the "ORS 79.0109 TAX EXEMPT" decal — public notice that your automobile is consumer goods, NOT subject to commercial regulation
Establishes the Non-Commercial Traveler Identification Card — issued by the Oregon DMV
Amends ORS 807.010 and 807.570 to specify that driver licensing applies ONLY to commercial operators
Repeals 21 unconstitutional provisions of Oregon law that compel non-commercial travelers to submit to commercial regulation
THE SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES SAID IT. WE ARE MAKING THEM HONOR IT:
"This Court long ago recognized that the nature of our Federal Union and our constitutional concepts of personal liberty unite to require that all citizens be free to travel throughout the length and breadth of our land uninhibited by statutes, rules, or regulations which unreasonably burden or restrict this movement."
— Shapiro v. Thompson, 394 U.S. 618 (1969 )
"A state may not impose a charge for the enjoyment of a right granted by the federal constitution."
— Murdock v. Pennsylvania, 319 U.S. 105 (1943)
Crandall v. Nevada (1868) | Saenz v. Roe (1999) | Kent v. Dulles (1958) | Packard v. Banton (1924)

— Oregon Constitution, Article I, Section 1
The right to travel is not a privilege. It is a Creator-endowed right. And we are taking it back — state by state, legislator by legislator, until the law of the land is honored in every state of this Union.
