TENNESSEE: THE RIGHT TO TRAVEL ACT HAS ARRIVED!
The State of Tennessee extracts over $724 MILLION every single year in registration fees, title fees, driver's license fees, and wheel taxes from noncommercial travelers.
This is an unconstitutional commercial imposition on your fundamental right to travel. Under Tennessee Code Annotated § 47-9-102(a)(23), your private automobile is classified as "consumer goods" — NOT a commercial motor vehicle.
Operation Wisedome has officially drafted the Tennessee Right to Travel Act for the 114th General Assembly.
WHAT THE BILL DOES:
Exempts all noncommercial automobiles from registration and licensing fees
Mandates a "TCA § 47-9-109 TAX EXEMPT" Photo ID Card at NO COST
Requires dealers to hand you the Certificate of Origin (the actual deed to your car)
Mandates Right to Travel training for all Tennessee law enforcement at TLETA
